Nebular is my latest screen saver for the Mac, and continues my theme of screen savers displaying images generated from fractal-based randomness. Nebular draws dreamy clouds of light which vary in appearance from a rippling silky liquid to streamers, smoke, and auroras.
I’ve been sitting on this screen saver for quite a long time. I solved all the technical challenges ages ago, but couldn’t get it looking the way I wanted. A rainy Easter break gave me the chance to devote some time to it, and now it’s looking just the way I’d wanted.
Nebular requires macOS 10·13 High Sierra or later, and runs on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. You can download it here.
